Prep: 5 mins | Cook: 20 mins
Serves 2 people
Ingredients
- 320g pack Jus Roll puff pastry
- 150g Boursin garlic & herb cheese
- 1 tbsp milk
- 85g caramelised onion chutney
- 1 salad tomato, cut into slices
- 3 slices prosciutto
- 3 large FREE eggs
- TO SERVE
- Fresh basil leaves
- Cracked black pepper
Method
- Preheat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6.
- Roll out the pastry and place on a large baking tray lined with parchment paper. Cut the puff pastry into a large heart-shape, discarding any excess pastry, before carefully scoring a 1cm boarder using a knife.
- In a bowl, add the garlic cheese and milk and mix together to loosen. Spread the cheese on the pastry staying within the boarder. Dot the caramelised onion chutney over the cheese.
- Lay on the tomato slices and ruffles of prosciutto leaving a little room for the eggs later. Whisk one egg in a bowl and egg-wash the boarder of the pastry.
- Place the tart in the oven to bake for 15 minutes until the pastry begins to puff up. Remove from the oven crack in the remaining 2 eggs into the prepared spaces on the tart - you may need to carefully push down the pastry using the back of a spoon before cracking in the eggs.
- Return the tart to the oven for a further 5 - 8 minutes, just until the egg white have set. Remove from the oven, scatter with fresh basil leaves and a generous crack of black pepper before serving.
