Boiled FREE egg chocolate mousse
Who knew a handful of everyday ingredients and a few FREE eggs could turn into something this chocolatey, creamy and downright delicious?
This smooth and velvety mousse is packed full of the good stuff, making it the perfect fuss-free pudding for busy families, after-school treats or little moments of “just because”. Naturally sweetened with honey or maple syrup and blended until beautifully silky, it’s proof that simple ingredients can make seriously eggscellent desserts.
The best part? There’s no fancy technique here. Just pop everything into a blender, whizz it up and let the fridge do the hard work while you put your feet up.
Top with juicy berries, crunchy nuts or an extra drizzle of honey for the ultimate sunshine-in-a-pudding moment.

Ingredients
- 6 large FREE eggs, hard-boiled and fully cooled
- 50g cocoa powder
- 150ml milk, of choice
- 1 tsp vanilla paste
- Pinch salt
- 4 heaped tbsp honey or maple syrup
- To serve
- Berries
- Chopped nuts
- You will need
- 4 ramekins or small dessert glasses
Method
- Add the cooled FREE eggs, cocoa powder, milk, vanilla, salt and honey or maple syrup to a tall high-speed blender.
- Blitz everything together until the mixture turns smooth, rich and beautifully silky. You might need to scrape down the sides once or twice to make sure every bit gets blended into chocolatey perfection.
- Divide the mousse evenly between 4 ramekins or dessert glasses, then cover and pop into the fridge to chill for at least 3 hours, overnight is even better if you can wait that long.
- When you’re ready to serve, top with fresh berries and a sprinkling of chopped nuts for a little extra crunch and colour.
